Tell me where the locals go! I feel a greater sense of connection to a place when I experience it through the eyes of those who live there. You'll find me exploring city streets with my husband & our two daughters, seeking out lesser-known corners, bookstores, coffee shops and vegetarian fare. Mornings are spent poolside; nature outings are a must.
Give me a sleeper car on a train, a stateroom on a cruise ship (with a balcony, please) or the tight-but-cozy quarters of our family RV. I've backpacked around Europe, lived in Japan, snorkeled with dolphins and sea turtles, watched lava flow, been in Munich for Oktoberfest, danced in the plaza at sunset in San Jose del Cabo, mastered the art of the family road trip and repeatedly soaked up the magic of Walt Disney World. Currently clearing my calendar to do it all over again.
